Changes:Updated to version 0.3.16 (Build 23588987).[Changelog]
Belts of Iron – a 3D strategy game about factory construction and automation from Builderment LLC, the creators of Builderment, released in early access on May 28, 2026. You start on a procedurally generated planet, install your first mining units, and gradually cover the landscape with kilometers of conveyor belts.
Tapes, pipes and electricity
The development chain leads from simple smelters to complex oil refineries. Machines assemble items on automated lines, and conveyors connect them, allowing them to be combined and separated to extract maximum output. Liquids and gases flow between buildings through pipelines, and a railway is used for distant cargo. All this requires energy, so the power grid must be built and expanded along with the refinery.
A new planet every time
The world is generated anew with each playthrough. You have to search for rich deposits and convenient locations for construction, and you can share an interesting map with friends by sharing its seeds. The planet isn't empty: hostile native creatures roam it. To defend your base, you can craft weapons, deploy automated turrets, and build fortifications. So, the third-person view isn't just for show; the hero has to navigate the world and fight.
Early access and co-op
You can build solo or with friends in online and local co-op. The developers say the core is already in place: construction, automation, exploration, and combat, but some features remain unfinished, and some of the graphics are temporary. Plans include drones for short-range logistics, a jetpack, new enemies, weapons, and generators. The game will remain in Early Access for at least a year.
