Throttle Trace — is an unusual racing simulator where control is based on just two actions: gas and brake. There's no steering wheel at all. The car follows its own path, and the entire race becomes a struggle for the perfect moment of acceleration and braking. You have to literally feel every turn — press the gas too early and you lose traction; brake too late and you lose momentum and speed on the exit.
The race is based on a sense of rhythm
Despite the minimalist controls, the game functions like a full-fledged simulator. Tire temperature, tire wear, fuel weight, car balance, and dirty air from competitors constantly influence the car's performance. Over long distances, you have to think not only about speed but also how hard to push the car to maintain momentum after a few laps.
The AI opponents also don't behave like faceless bots. Some attack aggressively, others maintain a steady pace, and others begin to make mistakes under pressure. This makes the races feel lively and nerve-wracking, especially when the battle isn't about a beautiful drift, but about perfect pedal input in every corner.
