Netherwake is a first-person psychological horror game with an emphasis on atmosphere and escalating tension, where familiar reality slowly begins to disintegrate. You find yourself in a house on the outskirts of the city, and at first everything seems calm, but then a thick fog appears, completely transforming the surrounding space. Streets become distorted, landmarks are lost, and it becomes clear there is no turning back.
The fog hides more than it seems
Movement becomes a cautious exploration. Visibility is limited, sounds are distorted, and threats aren't always immediately apparent. Sometimes danger appears suddenly, sometimes only in hints that make you doubt your own perception. You have to move slowly, checking your surroundings and reacting to the slightest changes.
The protagonist is a doctor, and this influences the events that unfold. His skills are used for survival, but over time, the line between reality and perception begins to blur. Events become stranger, and decisions become more difficult, because it's not always clear what is real. The only point of support is a dog, who reacts to threats earlier and helps navigate the situation.
