Abject Abyss is a short, atmospheric sci-fi horror story built around isolation and the feeling of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The action takes place at a remote research station where everything has gone terribly wrong. You're left alone among empty rooms, dim lighting, and strange sounds that keep you from relaxing for a second.
Silence works against you
The station doesn't look completely destroyed, but something is clearly wrong. The equipment is intermittent, the corridors seem identical, and the space feels oppressively confined. You move forward, checking the rooms, trying to figure out what happened, and gradually begin to notice details that don't fit into the normal picture.
Danger doesn't suddenly appear. It builds through the atmosphere, through sounds, and through occasional collisions that throw you off balance. In a short time, the game manages to build tension and escalate it to the point where every move feels risky. Everything hinges on the feeling of the unknown and how you react to what's happening around you.
