Worthy or Not – a Chinese FMV matchmaking simulator from MYSTERY CROWN, released on April 18, 2026. The entire game is filmed with live actors: you run a marriage agency and negotiate with difficult clients time after time.
Hao Pei Agency
The protagonist, Hao Pei, graduated from one of China's top universities, but instead of pursuing a career in the office, he took up matchmaking. After a string of failures, he opened his own marriage agency, which takes on the most challenging cases. The game's Chinese title, roughly translated as "Hello, Are You Worthy of Me," captures its tone well: it's not a love story, but a rather harsh look at the dating market. Themes include bride price, an apartment and car as marriage conditions, and pressure from family members.
Clients with a list of requirements
People come to Hao Pei with very different needs. A woman who demands a groom with a huge annual income. A programmer hiding a previous marriage and child. A woman whose family expects money from her. An heir to a wealthy family for whom marriage is primarily a property transaction. A careerist who values power but fears money-grubbers. Each conversation is akin to a verbal duel. He can try to bring the client back down to earth, or he can help find a suitable partner.
Hidden parameters and endings
Dialogue choices change the characters' hidden stats, and in the final matchmaking phase, they determine how the story ends. There are multiple endings, from a successful match to a disappointing one. In addition to choices, there are quick keystrokes whose failure leads to a different outcome, special events where the answer influences the ending, and collecting clues from conversations. The game has over four hundred reviews on Steam, and the overwhelming majority are positive. Download torrent Worthy or Not on PC you can see it below.
