There's no automation here — everything is done manually, which creates the core pacing and sense of control.

Alchemy as a sequence of actions

Even the slightest deviation can alter the final result, so it's important to understand the properties of the components and how they interact.

Progression occurs through completing orders and accumulating resources, which can be invested in upgrading your workspace and discovering new ingredients. This expands access to more complex recipes and speeds up the work process.
