CHWÆST: A Creeping Parasite Horror is a retro first-person horror game inspired by the aesthetics of late 1990s games. The entire action takes place inside a massive living organism, where the walls breathe, the tunnels overgrow, and the passages react to your presence. The only way to progress deeper is to feed the Biomass Core, which controls the entire environment.
An organism that listens
Progress is structured around a strange ritual. Instead of keys, organic offerings are used: mushrooms, creatures, and other biological objects found in the tunnels. After feeding the Core, the organism temporarily retreats, its tentacles spreading and revealing new areas, allowing further penetration into the labyrinth.
Exploration becomes a tense cycle of search and return. Small creatures, mobile organisms, and strange growths lurk in the darkness. Some flee when approached, others hide among the tissues of organisms. Progress requires deciding how far to go before returning to the Core.
