Lords of War

Lords of War – a free card strategy game from WeMakeApp Studio, released on Steam on May 1, 2018. Its rules are similar to collectible card games like TCG and CCG, but there are no turn-based moves: everything happens in real time on a 3D board, and units rush into battle immediately after playing a card.

Thirty cards and five minutes

The deck consists of thirty cards, and they are dealt automatically during the round. Action points regenerate over time, so the main question isn't what to play, but when. Playing a strong hero too early means being left without a response to your opponent's move; playing too late means missing the boat. The average match lasts about five minutes, so you can have dozens of battles in an evening. Knowledge of your deck, quick reflexes, and a little luck make all the difference.

Four races and a fair set

There are four factions in the game: deities, humans, undead, and demons. Your choice of race determines which cards you can add to your deck, but most cards are neutral and suitable for everyone. Cards don't level up, and all heroes and units are available to every player, so the winner in a duel is the one with the best deck, not the one who plays the longest. New cards are earned by completing the campaign or purchased in packs using currency awarded for victories.

Campaign and online duels

The single-player game features a story-driven campaign, some of which are significantly more challenging than others: they're impossible to complete without a well-designed deck. Quick matches, ranked seasons, and competitive matches with opponents from around the world are available online. Battles take place on four types of fields: Hell, Heaven, Desert, and Glacier, with 360-degree camera rotation. Chat, a friends list, and match replays are available.
