CYAN BRAIN is a dark, side-scrolling sci-fi action game that immerses you in a world of religious horror, mechanical brutality, and existential despair. The story is told as a parable without answers: a nameless girl awakens in ruins where maddened machines have replaced gods, and reality itself reacts to her will and suffering. Here, combat is not a means, but a form of existence.
Ruins, carnage and broken faith
The journey unfolds through continuous clashes, where the action feels heavy, relentless, and deliberately grueling. Enemies advance in waves, demanding precise control, aggression, and an acceptance of violence as an inevitable part of the journey. Executions and heavy weaponry become not rewards, but a continuation of a ritual that underscores the degradation of the world and the heroine.
As the story progresses, the space begins to shift, reflecting the character's internal breakdown. The ringing of bells, distorted images, and cinematic scenes create a sense of transition between flesh and something else. The story isn't explained directly — it unfolds through imagery, repetition, and a sense of loss, where destruction and salvation become indistinguishable.
