Social Caterpillar

Social Caterpillar is an adventure puzzle game about the inner struggle of an introvert, where every social interaction becomes a challenge of logic and restraint. The game's world is presented through the lens of anxiety and cautious curiosity: leaving the house is already a challenge, and talking to another person requires no less concentration than solving a complex riddle.

Socialization as a series of puzzles

Each interaction is framed as a separate puzzle with its own rules and consequences. An incorrect approach drains your energy, while a successful solution allows you to move forward and discover new spaces. Exploration encourages experimentation: the more closely you observe your reactions and surroundings, the more hidden connections and secrets begin to emerge.

Social energy serves as the main constraint on progress. It is expended through contact, but over time it returns, becoming greater and more stable. Gradually, the hero changes, expanding their comfort zone and moving away from the safety of their home, but the persistent Yellow Voice constantly reminds them that any development comes at the cost of internal tension.
