Cult of Dawn is a third-person horror adventure inspired by the survival horror classics of the late 1990s. The world begins to unravel after a mysterious event blurs the boundaries between reality and illusion. The player finds themselves in a chain of locations where survival depends not on strength, but on control, resources, and the ability to maintain composure.
Control, fear and pressure
Movement and combat are based on classic tank controls with modern elements. The camera changes angles, limiting the view and heightening the tension. Ammunition and supplies are scarce, so dodging and running often outweigh direct combat. Every decision impacts the pace of progress and the resources needed for continued survival.
The mind system plays a special role. Visual and auditory distortions gradually appear, disrupting your perception of what's happening and eroding your sense of control. These effects aren't just frightening; they interfere with the gameplay, forcing you to question the interface, the environment, and your own actions, turning the experience into a psychological challenge.
