Dragon Detective: A Friend from the Shadows is a detective adventure in visual novel format, where private investigator Seven Knoxley finds himself embroiled in a chain of events that could change the fate of an entire country. His self-imposed exile is disrupted by a sudden visit from strangers, after which his quiet life gives way to intrigue, murder, and the political mysteries of the capital.

Investigation in the Shadow World

The player explores the streets of Rivulette, inspects crime scenes, interrogates suspects, and compares facts to identify contradictions in their testimony. Using their six dragon senses, they can gain hidden information, detect lies, and notice details invisible to the naked eye, turning each case into a logical duel.

The story unfolds through a series of interconnected investigations, gradually uncovering a vast conspiracy. The choice of difficulty affects the depth of analysis and the attention required. Hand-painted 2D graphics and expressive characters enhance the atmosphere of noir fantasy, where the truth is rarely clear-cut and the consequences of decisions are felt right up until the end.
