The protagonist, Coast Guard officer Tom Hansen, receives a distress call and finds himself at the epicenter of a disaster. Exploring the decks, laboratories, and holds, he encounters infected crew members. Realistic motion physics, pitching, and limited visibility heighten the tension of combat and exploration.

The updated version includes support for modern technologies, 4K resolution, and controllers. Crashes and graphical issues have been fixed, and frame rates have been optimized. The stormy atmosphere, eerie enemy designs, and the crunch of metal under the onslaught of waves create a powerful sense of danger and despair.
