Yakuza 0 Director's Cut This remake of the legendary crime drama takes us back to the heart of neon-inspired Japan. Kamurocho and Sotenbori live by their own rules — here debts are paid in blood, and honor is measured by actions. Witness the birth of heroes whose names have become synonymous with strength and devotion.

A world where there are no accidents

The story unfolds as two destinies intersect in a whirlwind of intrigue. You'll see how one defends ideals, while the other loses his mind to preserve them. The streets are alive, the nights filled with music, deals, and battles. Every neighborhood holds secrets, and every fight is a step toward understanding that legends are born of pain, not glory.

The Director's Cut enhances the emotional power of the original, adding new cutscenes, deepening the stories of supporting characters, and revealing previously unseen events. This isn't just a remake, but a complete reimagining of Kiryu and Majima's journey — a path out of darkness, where honor can still triumph over betrayal.

Features of the game

  • A completely updated edition with new cutscenes and missions.

  • Dynamic street battles with a style change system.

  • The atmosphere of night-time Japan, recreated down to the smallest detail.

  • A profound story about honor, duty and the price of survival.

Will it be released without Denuvo protection? SEGA has removed the mention of protection in Yakuza 0: Director's Cut.
In October, SEGA was criticized by players for the lack of an upgrade path from Yakuza 0 to Director's Cut, the lack of changes, and references to unknown DRM protection.

Apparently, the Japanese publisher has heeded player criticism and made a number of changes to its policies. Today, it was announced that SEGA has added the option to upgrade to the Director's Cut for $15 instead of $50:

So what's new in the Director's Cut? Deleted scenes? That's it? And you have to pay an extra $15 for that if you already have the original on Steam. And for the rest of us, it's $50... For a 2015 game... Fuck it, I'll just download the Director's Cut version from the green Steam account.

On the plus side, Russian will finally be the official language, but I wouldn't recommend paying $50 for it, especially for a 2015 game. It would be more reasonable to sell it for $20, and for those who have a copy of the original on Steam, they could upgrade for $6. That would be fair.

P.S. There's a leaked Russian translation for the original (on DTF) online. No fuss, just download it, put it in the game folder, and that's it. I don't recommend buying it from the author; his translation price is outrageous. It costs as much as the game itself. And you have to install it through a crappy launcher, with passwords.

LothricI bought a Russian patch for 500 rubles for the Steam version. Excellent Russian patch! This guy did a tremendous job, and you just want another freebie.
Everything is installed simply and once. No fuss.

I once played some part, a relatively new one, there was a curly-haired guy in the ass. In the end, the game was such crap. (( Ugh, playing something like that.

The first Yakuza game I played was the spin-off Judgement, untranslated. At first, I thought it was complete crap (the way my attacks were highlighted was annoying, and the illumination was annoying). But! The cities are really well-written! I really liked Judgement's story; the humor isn't for everyone, but I got hooked! I'm looking forward to translations of the entire series, and repacks, of course. The series is definitely not for everyone, but the game is entertaining! What more could you want?
