Dive The Depths – a 2D pixel action roguelike about a diver from Frizuo and Starpixel Studios, released in April 2025. You descend into the deepest trenches of the ocean, and the deeper you go, the more vicious the inhabitants become.

The hunter becomes the prey

Underwater, you're considered food by everything that lives there. The local creatures cling to life at any cost and attack first, and if you hesitate, they'll overwhelm you with sheer numbers. Monsters might not be the only ones involved: it looks like there are people at the bottom, too, and encounters with them are unlikely to be friendly. Levels reassemble with each descent, and each new biome has its own creatures, secrets, and hidden secrets. The difficulty increases noticeably with each subsequent floor.

Items and strange builds

The main part of progression comes from the items you pick up along the way. Some simply boost your stats, while others change the very rules of the game. Weapons are also powerful, and the real fun begins when you assemble unusual combinations and see how they work together. Since items drop randomly, each run requires you to assemble what the depths offer, and a lucky find early on can determine the entire descent.

Bosses of the Depths

Bosses reside at different depths, and they fight differently. Some require calm tactics and careful study of attacks, while others turn the screen into a barrage of bullets, similar to those in Bullet Hell.
