Paranormal Night Shift – an indie horror game about searching for anomalies from Wheeler Whale Games, released on January 13, 2025. You are a ghost hunter who spends all night in front of monitors in a house in north London from the 1980s, searching for what has changed in the frame.

Cameras and partner Gary

Something strange is happening in the house, and the terrified family calls you to investigate. The job is split between you: your partner, Gary, walks through the rooms inside, while you monitor the surveillance cameras. A misplaced object, a light where there wasn't one, something strange in the corner of the room: every such anomaly must be noted and reported to Gary. Missing too many events is unforgivable. If you miss too many, you won't survive until morning, because the ghosts in this house are real.

Three nights

The game is spread over three nights, and the house's secrets unfold gradually, from one shift to the next. The time it takes to complete depends on your attentiveness, but it's worth setting aside a few hours. The rules will be familiar to those who've played other spot-the-difference games, but here they're built into a full-fledged storyline involving a partner and a family waiting for help.

Before starting

The atmosphere is dark, with scenes of blood and violence, making the game suitable for adults. It has about a hundred reviews on Steam, and almost all are positive.
