Carnival Of Souls – a first-person shooter with roguelike elements from Tika Studios. The full version was released on January 10, 2025, after a couple of months in Early Access. The action takes place in a twisted carnival, broken into strange dimensions.

Carnival between dimensions

Colorful rides and playgrounds are connected by portals, and each passage leads to a new zone with a fresh wave of enemies. The enemies are constantly advancing, including zombies, so standing still won't be an option for long. The goal is simple: survive as long as possible and advance further than the last time. The game doesn't offer a detailed plot; all the attention is on shooting and survival.

One life and an arsenal

The main rule: you only have one life. A mistake mid-run means you have to start over. Therefore, the choice of weapons and upgrades throughout the run is crucial. Weapons can be customized to suit your style, but your inventory is limited, forcing you to consider what to take and what to leave behind. Quick reactions are just as important as tactics: in a crowd of enemies, the winner is the one who moves away in time and avoids being surrounded. The graphics are stylized, with no attempt at realism.

How is it different from other carnivals?

The site has Carnival, Mad Carnival, and Carnival Hunt, and the names can be easily confused. Carnival Of Souls Among them is a survival shooter with one life and progression within a run.
