Hammer of Pain – a 2D pixel platformer with RPG elements set in the dark Middle Ages from SleepingFrog and published by Baked Games, released on October 18, 2024. The gameplay consists of two players: the blacksmith Silver and his huntress daughter Nora, and the plot revolves around the search for a missing girl against the backdrop of the destruction of kingdoms.
Father is looking for his daughter
Silver is left alone when Nora disappears and sets out to find her. The world around him is crumbling, kingdoms are falling into disrepair one after another, and the search takes place against the backdrop of this collapse. The journey leads through the lands of Arkon and Riven, each teeming with secrets. Throughout the game, you control both heroes, father and daughter. The game is linear, but there are many encounters along the way: dozens of characters with their own stories and over 129 quests.
Press and release
Combat is based on click-and-hold mechanics. You need to press and release the attack button at the right moment. Dodging is just as important as attacking: avoiding blows, arrows, and traps. Enemies vary: undead, bandits, forest animals, magical creatures, and even dangerous plants. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses, and with experience, you begin to take these into account. Collected items and resources are used to upgrade the hero's skills and abilities.
Four locations and dungeons
The game is divided into four locations, each with its own puzzles. Abandoned dungeons stand apart, where puzzles and monsters mix. The graphics are hand-drawn in a pixel style. The requirements are very modest: a dual-core processor and 4 GB of memory are sufficient. Download the torrent. Hammer of Pain On PC you can find it on this page.
