Closer the Distance

For those who want to play:
1) Don't try without knowledge of English, it will eat you up. (You can use the Russified "luna" or "yan-translator" – read at the end of the post. Also, in the next comment, a guy is working on a translation. Stay tuned for an update.)
2) If you don't like drama and social conflicts, don't get involved either.
3) The gameplay here involves reading (listening to) emotionally difficult dialogues and making decisions. (yes, almost like in "Life is Strange")

Well, now about the game:

I'll start with the good. The visual style is simply magnificent. It really captures the vibe of a small town. It's quiet, calm, and... melancholy. Just what this game needs.
The musical accompaniment has the same vibe.The subtle thrumming of the acoustics simply complements the overall vibe of the proceedings.
Separately, I would like to note that The game tries to delve into "gray" topics, which makes it stand out from most bland modern projects. It's not depressing, but rather emotionally challenging. Playing it, you don't feel suicidal, but rather empathy, compassion, or, well, you can act out the emotions you'd like to see, thanks to the developer's ability to do so.
Gameplay-wise... it's like an interactive movie that you direct yourself. Events are constantly happening, and you can become a part of them. Or you can choose not to. The game gives you the choice of watching the movie you want. Fortunately, there's plenty of variety here.
The sad thing is that you won't be allowed to participate in all the events., since the game world is relatively alive and something is constantly happening. And you need to choose who to follow.
I also really liked the game's concept. You, the player, are the ghost of a dead girl (the main character's sister), and so you can fly around the city and see everything as if from another world. (This is how the developer utilized the isometric camera.)

Honestly, the game has no downsides, it's just... an acquired taste. But yes, it's difficult to play without English, as the game is all about dialogue.It's like watching a movie in English. Unfortunately, there's no Russian version.
