Lighthouse of Madness – a first-person adventure puzzle game in the vein of Lovecraft from Flying Jack Studios, with a full Steam release scheduled for October 21, 2026. The creators say they were inspired not only by Lovecraft's works but also by the escape room format, so the road ahead is almost always blocked by another mystery.
Engineer on a strange island
The protagonist, Dorian Cannon, is not a lighthouse keeper by trade, but an engineer. He repairs old lighthouses and installs automated systems, leaving them unused. His latest assignment takes him to Darenne Island near Innsmouth: he needs to retrieve a crew of lighthouse keepers and return them to the mainland. But upon arrival, it becomes clear that something has gone wrong on the island, and the keepers have disappeared. The protagonist discovers what happened to them and what lies beneath the abandoned mine himself, exploring the empty structures.
Lantern and riddles
Dorian's only equipment is a flashlight; he has no weapons at all, so the game relies on exploration and puzzles. There are two types of puzzles: logic puzzles and environmental puzzles, where you need to look for clues within the location itself and among the objects you find. To reach the lighthouse, you'll first have to navigate through abandoned buildings and descend underground. The route is linear, but it's easy to get lost while searching for the right thing.
My mind is running out
The game's main mechanic revolves around the hero's sanity. It gradually declines over time, and this affects how the game plays: stagnating for too long is unprofitable. The horror here is more psychological: the emphasis is on atmosphere, darkness, and the supernatural, rather than on monster fights. According to the developers, the plot includes themes of substance abuse. Download Lighthouse of Madness You can download the game via torrent on your PC on this page.
