Two major development companies, Microsoft and Telltale Games, have signed a deal to release a new standalone project, Minecraft Story Mode. This game will be based on the well-known survival sandbox game Minecraft, developed by Mojang, now acquired by Microsoft. In 2015, you'll be able to download Minecraft Story Mode for free via torrent, as the first episode of the new game is planned to be released. It will differ from its inspiration in almost every way, including genre. Minecraft Story Mode is a story-driven adventure where the game's progression will depend on the decisions made by the player.
This project is expected to be multi-year and large-scale (with numerous episodes). Its scale will also include reaching gamers through adaptation to most modern gaming devices. The game will be available in a fully functional computer and console mode, as well as a minimalist mobile version designed for tablets, smartphones, and similar devices. The developers assure that the game's familiar square graphics will migrate to the new project without any changes and will delight all fans of the Minecraft gaming universe. Key details regarding the new project are currently being kept under wraps.
