Doom 3 — a wildly popular horror shooter from 2004 that still manages to make your blood run cold today, especially when played alone in the dark with multichannel sound. The plot takes place in the year 2145 and tells the story of a UAC corporation laboratory on Mars, where scientists were studying artifacts from the planet's ancient inhabitants. These artifacts are dedicated to teleportation and other phenomena once considered science fiction. For a while, the experiments were proceeding as planned, but suddenly a malfunction occurred, opening a gate to another dimension, a place that bears a striking resemblance to hell... Demons and zombies burst forth! Few survived the attack. Among them is the protagonist of Doom 3—a nameless soldier, and a very tough one at that. His goal is to hold out until reinforcements arrive. He must constantly battle vile creatures and, along the way, uncover a devious plot involving the ruler of hell himself, which led to a tragic end...
Doom 3 Features: - Super graphics. This shooter's visuals were a real sensation at the time! id Software used the id Tech 4 engine, which perfectly captured the interplay of light and shadow, merging these two important image components. Another interesting feature is the abundance of virtual interactive computer screens and cinematic cutscenes. - Spectacular multi-channel sound. The player is constantly surrounded by radio static, shouts, piping, footsteps, taunts, deep breathing, and strange voices. All of this effectively enhances the graphics and makes the game even more tense. The music, composed by Chris Vrenna (formerly of Nine Inch Nail) and Clint Walsh (Tweaker), also deserves praise. - Strong plot. The game is a reboot of the series, not particularly connected to the previous installments, but also a prequel. It's a story about how scientific research opened the doors to hell. The protagonist is a soldier who understands little about innovation, but is an excellent marksman. - A wide range of weapons. Admittedly, this is one of the main reasons why many people download Doom 3 via torrent. The game offers self-defense against otherworldly monsters, including a chainsaw, pistol, grenades, a rocket launcher, and much, much more, including the legendary BFG9000 plasma rifle and the unusual Soul Cube. - Multiplayer is provided. It's divided into several dynamic modes. There are deathmatches, where it's every man for himself; classic team battles; a tournament where some fight while others play as spectators; and elimination battles, which have a limited number of respawns. Yes, there will be plenty of fun even after completing the campaign!
