Gothic 2 Gold Edition — This bundle includes the original game and the Night of the Raven expansion. A long and exciting journey awaits! The story begins with a prisoner escape after a magical barrier over the Mine Valley, familiar from the first game, is deactivated. Hardened criminals have begun wreaking havoc on the island of Khorinis, aided by dark forces. The hero must rectify the situation, and to do so, he must obtain a powerful amulet called the Eye of Innos. With the complete edition of Gothic 2, you can experience this story in detail.

Features:
- You'll have to complete around a hundred missions, meet half a thousand unique characters, and learn their secrets through conversations that will last a total of 12 hours!
Do you know why you should download the Gothic 2 torrent from us? It's because the "Gold Edition" includes the "Night of the Raven" expansion, which makes the story and world even more engaging and expansive.
"Weapons are plentiful! Numerically, there are over 200 types of material and magical means for fighting enemies."
- The graphics are classic. Even though this RPG was released almost 15 years ago (just imagine!), its visuals still look pleasing.
- A gripping storyline. The player will once again follow the adventures of the nameless Hero. This time, he must deal with criminals who were accidentally released.

So many years have passed, but I still love the second Gotan.

There are moments when the game is so well thought out for its time that you can’t help but admire it.
Did you know that there are at least six legal (i.e., the Piranhas intended it that way) ways to get into the city at the very beginning of the game? I don't know how much this information is useful to you, but maybe someone would be interested if I listed them.

1. A very obvious, but not the most profitable way: give the guard a bribe of 100 gold.
2. Also a fairly simple way: work for a farmer and buy clothes in order to later pass yourself off as a farmhand.
3. The easiest way: get a pass from the merchant Kantor, but be prepared that Kantor will demand some kind of return favor from you in the future.

More complicated methods will follow.

4. The next option is to find your old friend Lester. You can do this by exiting Xardos Tower, walking to the small lake on the left, and finding the entrance to a cave where you can deal with several small mobs. Then, descend and emerge into a small, secluded clearing where Lester will be waiting by the fire. He'll tell you that you can introduce yourself to the guards as an alchemist's apprentice and, as proof, show them a bundle of ten identical herbs.
P.S. For this method to work, Lester must be found, otherwise the required dialogue line with the guards will not appear.

5. This method also involves changing clothes and is therefore similar to the second method, but it is more complicated, and the dialogue with the guards will be different.
You need to reach the gate as usual, then turn right and follow the wall until you reach the city's eastern gate. From the eastern gate, go to the Dead Harpy tavern and buy leather armor (finding money is a separate issue, but you can gather herbs and other junk to sell). After that, all you have to do is return, and the guards will no longer consider you a vagabond.

6. My favorite, as it gives extra experience, but it's quite difficult: you need to go back to the eastern gate as in the fifth method, then head towards the lighthouse. There's a spot where you can jump off a ledge onto the beach, then swim left until you reach the harbor, where Lares will give you 500 experience (you can also visit Lothar for a useless but unique dialogue option).

Pal-al-DinWell, you fucking described 10 ways, but forgot the easiest one) ... you go up to the guard, in the dialogue, press the letter D (move right) and he runs through the guard in the dialogue... Congratulations, you're in the city... Yeah, it turns out you're not such a fan of Gothic)

@Ruby Road, when I was really into gothic smile

And I haven't forgotten anything; in the text above, I immediately clarified that I would list only legal methods, without exploiting bugs. By the way, speaking of bugs, there's another way to bypass the guards right before their eyes. All you have to do is climb up the chain at the gate and jump behind the guards.
There's also a story floating around the internet that the main character can jump up and grab onto the edge of a wall in one spot, but I couldn't verify this. In my version, no matter how many times I jumped, the character refused to grab onto the edge, unfortunately. disappointed_relieved

Pal-al-Din, well, excuse me then, I used to play legally myself, until I saw how easy it was to beat it, this unconventional thinking hooked me)

Dear administration, can you upload a version without the latest patch 2.7? It prevents mods from working correctly.

Why did they make vanilla Gothic so incredibly difficult in the latest fix? Now dragons one-shot me with one attack, and as a result, I can't get past Chapter 4.

For some reason, neither the second nor the third Gothic installs. There's an error unpacking. The third one is exactly the same.

I don't think VIP is a panacea.

Basically, it's a pain. First, you need to find the right repack (this one doesn't even install; I found it on another website). There's a problem with the GOG version (at least for me), so you need to download the pirated version. Then you have to manually add some files from DirectX, then edit the dmusisc.inf (detailed instructions on YouTube). Only then was I able to launch the game. It worked on Windows 11.

This repack worked fine for me on Windows 7. I added the GD3D11 and Union patches and then completed the entire game. Of course, I crashed a lot, but that seems to be a problem with my Radeon RX550 graphics card, which for some reason gets incredibly hot in older games.
But here's what's funny - I caught one bug (I don't know if it's from the repack or from the union patch):
If you save with the top-tier "Dragonbane" sword in your inventory (the one hanging in a pillar of blue light in the cave with the undead), the game will always crash when loading that save. You can pick up the sword, run around slashing enemies with it, and then sell it or put it in a chest — you can save again without it in your inventory. But not with it.
I wonder where such a selective bug could come from?

In the new playthrough the sword bug disappeared.
Apparently, for some reason, the script that was supposed to summon several skeleton mages when you picked up the sword suddenly short-circuited - then they didn't appear and the saves were broken.
Now, when I play as a mage, the sword is at my service, but the thing is that the mage won't be able to swing it)

Everything was installed correctly, the version is clumsy.
Advice: download the most common Gothic game, Night of the Raven 2, weighs about a GB, and download Steamfix from Playground. It will work on any version. Download the fix for an Nvidia laptop from the same Playground. Then set the draw distance to no more than 240.

When you delete a game, delete the entire folder and not through the uninstall manager.
